Isn't October such a fun month? A chill in the air, Pumpkin Spice-flavored everything, and HALLOWEEN! Costumes and candy and parties, oh my! While you're busy planning out your perfect costume - our owner Tanja and her family go all out every year, as does our Operations Manager Marion - don't forget about your fragrance! Pick a perfume to match the mood of your costume, or just pick a 'spooky' scent to celebrate the festivities of the month.
We've created an assortment of fragrances to fit the Halloween mood, and you can find them all here! However, we felt that a few were worth highlighting; continue reading, and find some inspiration!
Ormonde Jayne Ormonde Man and Ormonde Woman: Both fragrances' star note is black hemlock, named so due to its similarity in smell to poison hemlock. The smell is uniquely green, woody, and heady - a sultriness that draws you in and makes you think of (perhaps haunted!) dark forests. In this scented forest, Ormonde Man would be the leaves and bark of the trees, while Ormonde Woman is the damp, rich soil.
Amouroud Bois d'Orient: The aesthetic of Amouroud's fragrances, from their black and gold packaging to the rich scents contained within, conjures up a sleek take on oud-based fragrances. The usual darkness of oud is transformed if by a spell into something more wearable. Our Halloween pick would be the deeply spiced wood of Bois d'Orient, which when worn on the skin diffuses not unlike tendrils of smoke.right
Escentric Molecules Molecule 01: Iso E Super is the ghost of the fragrance world - you often cannot smell it, but its effect in fragrances is unmistakable, increasing the sillage and longevity of whatever it's added to. On its own, as it is here, its golden radiance surrounds its wearer despite its wearer's inability to perceive it! But trust us, it's there: the citrus-y, dry, transparent cedar scent will have everyone complimenting you!
Parfums M. Micallef Secrets of Love - Delice: Love potions may not be real, but Delice comes pretty close! The closest Micallef available to the sorely-missed The No.1 for Osswald NYC, Delice is a heady mix of orange, spices, jasmine, oud, and vanilla. It's a definite attention-grabber, as is the gothic-looking black bottle!
Phaedon Cendres de The: Any fragrance with the word "ashes" in its name had to be included in this list! Cendres de The takes a tea note and amplifies the natural woodiness found there with myrrh and black pepper. The result is a somber, muted version of a tea fragrance - perfect for a gloomy mood!
